Job Summary

This position is required to work closely with the Planner to analyse customer activity, forecast sales, select forward-trending merchandise and replenish stores optimally to maximise trading opportunities and minimise stock holdings in store. 

Key Performance Area

 Stock Management

  • Implementing stock plans to ensure that strategic objectives are executed
  • Monitoring customer orders
  • Order Tracking as required
  • Execute allocations to Ecom both seasonal and refill
  • Ensuring product plan meets location plan targets and correct stock allocations meet sales targets
  • Ensuring sufficient inflows of product to meet acceptable in stock percentages in order to maintaining agreed replenishment service levels and agreed planograms for locations
  • Management of the seasonal flow of range assortments
  • Ensure this meets the agreed seasonal selection as per ranges selected
  • Ensure that stock percentages are maintained
  • Ensure that trading pattern analysis are communicated to the team regularly

Product Analytics 

  • Analysis of sell through with necessary systems (Excel, Shopify and SAP B1) to optimize replenishment.
  • Analyse where necessary to understand trading patterns
  • Assist in monitoring in season trade and react accordingly 
  • Ensure end uses (Categories) are given the best possible space optimization to ensure sales efficiencies
  • Analyse sells through weekly and monthly
  • Ensure that trading pattern analysis are communicated to the team regularly
  • Feedback on what are the overstocks and understocks, and which categories are over and underperforming
  • Sales analysis on categories to show efficient sales

General

  • Assist with any adhoc duties
  • Maintaining a professional imagine whilst in the office e or travelling.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Degree in Retail, Business or any other related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in merchandise planning and allocating in a retail environment
  • Strategic agility and able to articulate a vision and purpose.
  • Advanced Excel skills
